Hello family. This week was a good week. I asked Fundi and Kazadi to
be baptized. πŸ™‚ they said they need to learn more first but they
didn’t say no πŸ™‚ yay!!! It was a good experience. So we got to teach
lessons this week, it was a nice change from the last week. We taught
Fundi and Kazadi and then we taught Kondo San as well. We thought
Kondo San wasn’t really interested in church and just allowing us to
teach her so we could help her in return but I think it has changed. I
wanted to call Kondo to invite her to church even though we knew she
may not come because she told us last week she is busy. But we tried
anyway and to our surprise she said she would come and we can teach
her a lesson after sacrament. When we were at church yesterday I
thought she wasn’t going to show up but she came during the last song
of sacrament. After sacrament we were going to go teach her but she
wanted to go to class instead, so we took her to class. The lesson was
perfect. It was about the Gifts of the Holy Ghost. She loved it and we
loved it too because it was being taught by someone fluent in
Japanese. She is going to come to church again next week. Hopefully we
can get another lesson in there before Sunday but I think things are
going better then expected. And then things took a step back with
Mizuki San. We haven’t been able to see her again but we did see her
husband again and talked to him some more. He says she is having a
hard time right now and isn’t up for having visitors right now. I
asked him if we could eventually teach them together and he said he
would have to ask her about it but I don’t think he wants to. And I
think Mizuki may have changed her mind about taking lessons but we
aren’t going to give up until they tell us no. ( without being pushy
of coarse) . We got transfer calls today. I’m staying in Tokorozawa
with Harper Shimai. I’m excited, it will be fun. That’s it for this
week. I love you all!!!

Hello family and friends,
All is well in fact things are pretty great. Today we went to the
temple and I had one ear piece in to hear the English and then I was
also listening in Japanese, and I understood more Japanese then I
thought I would πŸ™‚ woo hop! That means my Japanese is coming along.
My poor legs are getting eaten up by all the ka ( mosquitos). I
literally look like I have the chicken pox. It’s so gross and it
sucks!! They are actually bruised from me scratching so hard. But I
really can’t help it, they itch soo much! Arghhh! One of our
investigators’ wife went to the hospital last week. She was five
months pregnant and got some sort of infection and lost the baby. So
we went and visited them and took the elders with us and gave her a
priesthood blessing. It was a good experience. They are home now but
are recovering from the emotional trauma. Then that same day we went
to see our other investigator who wasn’t home but her husband was so
we got to talk to him and get to know him a little bit. He is from
America and is a member but hasn’t been active. It was way good
because we found out that he isn’t against us teaching his wife and he
likes missionaries. So now we have to figure out why he went inactive
and resolve any issues he may have.  That’s all the progress we have
made with our investigators last week but at least it is progressing.
Slowly but surely. I really really want to seriously start teaching
though and that is really frustrating. We have a little festival going
on down the street from our apartment right now, I attached a video.
Im sorry for all the boring emails but this is all I have for this
week. I love you guys!!!

Another week gone. The time goes by so slow and then so fast. This
week was an ok week.  Oohing to great happened and nothing awful
happened. Although we did lose an investigator but for a good reason.
Rosie has cancer and has been getting treatment at the hospital in
Tokorozawa but she actually lives in the North mission. Well her
health got well enough that she could go home so that means we can’t
see her anymore. We have yet to have another appointment with any of
our new investigators. We went to visit Mizuki on Friday and she
wasn’t home. That was dis heartening. And then we had an appt. with
Fundi and his wife but Fundi got called into work so he had to cancel.
We think Kondo is only pretending to be interested in order for us to
teach her club English classes when she needs help.so I don’t know
what to think. The statement two steps forward and one step back is a
very true statement. I absolutely love my companion but she can be a
little on the lazy side sometimes. It just makes dendoing harder I
think. Although when she puts herself out there she really gets a lot
of contacts. Next week will be temple p- day so I will be writing on
Tuesday instead of Monday. The heat and humidity is starting to get
really hot. The other night I was so exhausted and it was because we
were out in the heat all day. And there is absolutely no point in
doing your hair because it turns into a wet mop after 15 minutes, and
makeup just drips off. I will probably not be looking attractive this
summer. Not that it really matters. I’m not out here to attract guys
or anything. I was thinking of doing before and after pictures of the
day just so everyone could see how bad it is out here :-). So how is
everyone doing? I really wish I could have been there for the Fourth
of July. I missed the fireworks. I was so jealous of the other
missionaries in our zone who got to go to the American Base and join
in the festivities. Oh well. Next year I should be there hopefully. I
love you all.

今ζ—₯は、

δ»Šι€±γ―η΄ ζ™΄γ‚‰γ—γ„γ§γ™γ‚ˆοΌThis week has been awesome. We have two more
investigators. Which makes it a total of three new investigators in
just a week and a half. And hopefully it will be four by the end of
this coming week. The only reason why it is not four is because
Fundi’s wife  was sick and didn’t participate in the lesson. But she
will be next time. This transfer has been such an amazing transfer. So
many miracles have taken place. Fundi and his wife are from Kongo
Africa. Their first language is French. They speak some English and
then even less Japanese. So we will be teaching them in English. I’m
not saying it would happen, but how cool would it be if we got Andy to
skype in on a lesson with us?!! That would be so cool. Our other new
investigator is Kondo. Kondo is a lady who has an English club and the
people she had teaching her club moved back to the states. She saw a
flyer of ours saying we taught free English so then she came to church
to talk to us to see if we would help her out. At first it felt like a
job interview. It was like she was looking for more teachers. We told
her we would help her as a community service but we can’t be teachers
as a permanent thing. So we taught her club students for two days. The
first day sister Harper and I were on splits so it was sister
Merstrand and I. We taught the first two lessons and then had lunch.
As we were eating lunch with Kondo San we started talking about church
and she was asking us questions. So then we got out the first lesson
pamphlet and started to teach her. We only got to the vision when we
had to stop and teach another class. But she was way interested and
wanted to learn more. So we had set up an appointment for the next
morning. And then we do have another referral that I feel could very
well become an investigator as well. Her name is Angela. So pray for
her ok πŸ™‚ sister Harper has been sick this last weekend so we have
been stuck in the apartment for most of the time. But I feel that has
been a blessing because I feel well rested and ready to work hard. I
saw on Facebook that Grandpa had surgery?! Why? Why does he need
dialysis? How is the rest of the family? Rainy season is suppose end
in a couple of days which means the hot hot hot summer is about to
hit. I’m not to excited about that. But hopefully we have so many
investigators and lessons that we will be inside teaching most of the
time. πŸ™‚ ha ha. It’s crazy to see the miracles unfold. I love you
guys. I hope everything is going well. Love you
